The Code Black Psychology team specialises in providing threat management, legal knowledge, psychological and social work services that address repeat harmful behaviours in workplaces, people’s homes and the wider community. We are an interdisciplinary team of experienced practitioners providing services to (1) care teams supporting persons with complex mental health and psychosocial disabilities with persistent risks of harming themselves and others, and (2) organisations seeking expertise in the resolution of complex and protracted disputes and complaints as well as opportunities to enhance psychological safety.

We work extensively in the government and corporate sectors in Australia and New Zealand. We provide training, policy and framework development, and consultations on complex and intractable cases where individuals use aggression to achieve their aims.

Ben is a Community Psychologist and the Manager of the Positive Behaviour Support team. He brings a wealth of experience in supporting people with complex needs. His role with Code Black Psychology includes direct client work as well as supporting the team to provide high quality service in challenging circumstances.
Kelvin is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience supporting youth and adults with complex psychosocial and behavioural needs. He specialises in working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, multi-level trauma, and forensic histories, using evidence-based, person-centred approaches to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Roberto Ciudad Real is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with over seven years of experience in the NDIS sector, having worked in a variety of roles including Disability Support Worker Level 3, Disability Case Manager, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Robyn is an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with three years of practice across rural, regional, and metropolitan areas. Her role involves developing and implementing tailored behavioural interventions to support individuals with complex needs.
Wendy is a member of the Complex Services Team (CST) and a Specialist Support Coordinator and Care Plan Coordinator. Wendy’s role is providing Specialist Support Coordination (SSC) for complex clients with complex needs, usually for justice-involved NDIS participants and providing Care Plan Coordination (CPC) for complex clients who have been found eligible for the DFFH MACNI program.
