Ms Nichole Lacey

Nichole is a Team Leader of the Complex Services Team (CST) at Code Black Psychology. Nichole’s role is providing support to her team members and oversight as a Care Plan Coordinator (CPC) for complex clients who have been found eligible for the DFFH MACNI program.

Nichole completed a Bachelor of Applied Science Disability at RMIT University. The degree itself was only a few of its kind prior to the roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and grounded in inclusive human rights-based approaches with contributions from disability studies, sociology, psychology, dual diagnosis, and mental health. Nichole also has a Diploma of Education which she completed at Charles Sturt University.

She has 14 years working across a range of roles and services including Care Coordination with NDIS services, Management of Disability Employment Service sites located in the North and East regions of Melbourne, Case Management of clients with disability, psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment, Case management of marginalised and disadvantaged clients including people who are experiencing homelessness, are AOD affected, culturally and linguistically diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or ex-offenders.

Nichole’s expertise is working with high-risk clients with complex psychosocial needs who present with dual diagnosis, forensic involvement and display challenging behaviours of concern. She is passionate about advocacy, education, cultural competence, trauma informed care, mental health equity and disability rights.
