Dr Karen Scally

Neuropsychologist

Karen is a dual endorsed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Forensic Psychologist and a member of the Clinical and Consulting Team (CCT) at Code Black Psychology. Karen’s role involves conducting psychological and neuropsychological assessments, and providing consultation around complex cases to elucidate the independent and combined contributions of cognitive impairment and mental illness to behaviour.

Karen is a registered psychologist with over ten years’ experience on both neuropsychological and psychological assessment and intervention skills across a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry units, secure forensic, custodial and community settings. She has a particular interest in the impact of attachment and other accumulating traumas on the developing brain and how this results in behaviours that may be considered contextually adaptive or maladaptive.

She currently holds dual endorsements in Clinical Neuropsychology and Forensic Psychology. She is committed to professional development and is a member of the Australian Clinical Neuropsychology Association (ACNpA) and a committee member of the Victorian branch of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Law (ANZAPPL).
